The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
6oz butter
6oz Caster Sugar
6oz Demerarera Sugar
12oz Plain Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
2 Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla Essence
8oz Desecated Coconut
1lb or 16oz Milk Chocolate Chips
6oz White Chocolate Chips
Instructions
Heat oven to 180° Celsius. Grease 3 baking trays and line them with greaseproof paper.
Cream the butter and both sugars together in a large mixing bowl until pale in colour, then add the eggs and vanilla essence, and beat again.
Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt into your dough mixture, don’t be alarmed if it is too thick that is the texture you are looking for.
Add in the coconut and all the chocolate chips into the dough and mix again until they are evenly distributed.
Chill in the fridge for 1 hour.
Divide the cookie dough into slightly bigger than ping pong sized balls and flatten out slightly on the tray.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Leave to cool on a wire rack.
